I went to NOLOP with my friend Chiara because we both were confused on how to even use this foreign machinery (high five to moral support!). Anyway, when I saw no more red parts (meaning that part had issues), I knew it meant I was ready to laser cut! At first, a couple of the parts had issues, which I was able to fix by adjusting the notch factor, 1st axis, and curve features (not that I really knew what I was doing). After going through a couple “slice” plans, I chose the curved slices for my design (Figure 2). I enjoyed how the app made all the slices for you, haha. Noticing my car was going to come out pretty huge, I adjusted the dimensions to have a height of 2.501 in, width of 5 in, and length of 2.174 in. Slicer Fusion 360 was straight-forward and fairly easy to use (to my surprise). Figure 2: Final version of car showing curved slice plan for laser cutting.
